The Domaine des Farguettes - Black Perigord


	In the heart of the Black Perigord, the richest cultural region of the Dordogne, regrouping prehistoric sites, medieval castles, the most beautiful bastide towns such as Monpazier, celebrated abbeys such as Cadouin - a stage on the pilgrim route to St. jacques de Compostelle, you will easily find the “Domaine des Farguettes, south west of Sarlat, south of Perigueux, east of Bergerac, the three towns delimiting the golden triangle of the Dordogne. The “ Domaine des Farguettes “ is firstly a spot with a 300 degree panorama, reminiscent of a renaissance painting, where the never-ending blue horizon brings to mind Baudelaire’s “balconies in the sky “.
		A rustic track through chestnuts woods , opening onto a Tuscany-style countryside, rolling valleys, planted with cypress, limes and plane trees.
The “ Manoir des Farguettes “ was built in 1664 by journeymen artisans who signed their work in a stone star bearing the date. The buildings owe their charm to the builders knowledge and the noble materials used. The interior decoration also shows a taste for authenticity, each object, each piece of furniture chosen with care and taste. The pottery works made by the mistress of the house Françoise de Torrenté , found everywhere in the house, and our library-salon houses books and CDs for the most refined taste.
		YOUR STAY at the “Manoir des Farguettes“ following the formula ESTATE RENTAL for 20 to 24 people principally in July and August and all year .( Week- Fortnight) One can also rent the manoir (12 pers.) or the Grange (10 pers.) All year round it’s also possible to reserve BED & BREAKFAST ROOMS.
		Groups renting the domaine have linen provided, two hours daily maid service, swimming pool and grounds maintenance. -Discovering Perigord Cookery. A morning market visit to Sarlat - tasting and buying local produce , a tour of the medieval town upon return to the Domaine des Farguettes, preparation of local specialities togethee for the formal dinner (participation for the day-46 euros).
